Why Does My Child Study And Still Fail Tests?

Plenty of students understand the content and still perform badly on assessments. The obstacle sits elsewhere — not knowing how to revise, running out of time, losing track partway through, or freezing because past tests have gone badly. Each is a separate problem with a separate response, and treating them all as “needs to study harder” addresses none of them.

Is My Child Using Their Testing Accommodations?

Many students have accommodations written into their IEP that they do not know how to use, or do not realise they are allowed to use. Extra time only helps if a student knows how to spend it. Working on how to apply the supports already available is often faster and more effective than adding anything new to the document.
